As Christmas nears we are thankful that Emma's leg has nearly healed and that Karen (our first-born) has come from Chicago to spend the holidays with us. My status should be more clear after meeting with Dr. Tricot tomorrow morning. The results of the tests that I underwent last Thursday and Friday should be revealed to me then. All I know now is that my expectations that I will do a lot of waiting at the clinic were not confirmed on Thursday as I had time to go to the airport to pick up Karen after the bone marrow biopsy. But they were back to their old tricks on Friday when a one-hour procedure took from 2:00 to 4:30 to complete.
The tree is the smallest we have ever had due to entreaties from all the girls that we stay off ladders for tree decorating and to the high cost of tall trees. But it is well shaped and quite attractive.
Merry Christmas and happy New Year to all.
