LapTop comes through

My desk top computer cannot recognize my Nikon D40 camera, but the laptop can so I copied part of the chart showing the decline of the Myeloma marker that Dr. Tricot favors as determined on February 22. The markers will not be determined again until I go for lab work and various other tests on March 17 in anticipation of a meeting with Dr. Tricot on the 22nd. If the average slope of the line from December 28 to February 22 continues unchanged the Kappa Free Light Chains will be near zero by March 17, but Dr. Tricot told us that the value will never reach zero. I guess I will have to quit hating the laptop.
The visit to the BMT clinic this morning was uneventful except Emma went with me for the first time in quite awhile. She had been called by Gregg Wood a researcher at the Huntsman Cancer Institute who is studying the possible influence of family medical history on the development of bone marrow cancer in their patients. He had called me in November to tell me about the study and to ask me to volunter for the study, which I did. Then he called me again last Thursday and asked whether my wife would be willing to participate in the study because they wanted to expand it to include some people who were not genetically related to the subjects of the study but who shared the same environment. I told him he would have to ask her because I could not anticipate what her response might be and told him she would be home in an hour or so. When he called back I was somewhat surprised that she agreed to participate and that is why she went; in order to meet him for a full explanation and to have some blood drawn for tests.
Emma is having blisters develop near the incision on her leg and some on the opposite side where the screws were used. She still hasn't resumed going to her aquasize class because of the blisters. On March 1 we went to see Dr. Kuo, our family internist, for her semi-annual checkup and he looked at her leg, put a dressing on it, gave her a prescription for a medicated salve, told her to keep it elevated as much as possible, and confirmed that she should not go in the swimming pool until it is completely healed. Enough said.
The desk top computer is being perverse this evening; it will not let me make a space between paragraphs no matter how many times I edit the post. Maybe I will have to transfer my ill feelings to it instead of the laptop.

  1. Glad to see that you're both "hangin' in there!"
The snow here has finally agreed to melt
and we anticlpate first flowers in 2-3 weeks.
Interestingly enough, the weather at the
cabin appears to be warmer than here.
Hopefully, contemplating a martini will help
    me understand that issue.
Again, hopefully, you both are also able to
contemplate an olive or two as you find
the time to breathe a little easier.
    Peace.................
