Shortest Clinic visit thus far; Emma's trials continue

Traffic is almost always light on Thursdays so I got to the BMT clinic right on time this morning and they had only one other patient. They had my Velcade shot ready for me when I got into the Infusion Room and I was on my out at 9:11 AM. I was quite surprised to see that my weight had gone up by about 2KG since Monday and don't know how to account for that unless it was the Guacamole I mixed up last night as an over-large appetizer before dinner.

Emma had an appointment with Dr. Kuo last week and with Dr. Curtis yesterday; neither were very helpful in telling her how to avoid the severe side effects that she is having from the Tetracycline prescribed by the 2 dermatologists to treat the blistering on the sites of the incisions on her left leg. But Dr. Curtis had another x-ray taken and said that the bones are completely healed and she will not need to come back to see him unless something unexpected happens.

Emma finally called Dr. Hull's office today about the side effects from the medication after having decided to not take the pills last night or this morning. She feels somewhat better now and the doctor's nurse told her that discontinuing the pills was the correct thing to do. She got an appointment with Dr. Hull for Monday afternoon instead of having to wait until Thursday for her scheduled appointment. The side effects, which include nausea, headaches, loss of appetite, and a general tiredness, have very nearly incapacitated her for nearly 2 weeks.
