Huntsman BMT clinic crowded

The roads yesterday were dry and with little traffic until I reached Foothill Drive where they became busy and in places wet from the snowflurries that had been falling for some time. The roads were very crowded beyond 13th south, which I crossed 13 minutes before 10:00 (the time for my appointment) and I didn"t get into the clinic until a couple of minutes after 10:00, but no hurry because the check-in office was full and I wasn't taken for vitals until 11:00. It proved to be a day of waits; after the wait at check-in, I waited for blood work to be reported to determine time for Aredia infusion, I waited for the Velcade to be sent over from Pharmacy and then I waited at Pharmacy for one prescription to be filled and didn't get home until almost 3:00. Laurie, one of the infusion nurses, came into the lab where the line was being installed in my port and she told the attendants there that blood work was supposed to be done every time for those patients who come in once a week. So they amended their procedures and collected 5 vials of blood from me and sent them off for analysis, which may have been a good thing because the results showed that my Aredia infusion could be finished in 2 hours instead of the 4 hours that some earlier infusions had taken. But when Laurie removed the line she told me that she had been mistaken and no blood work was indicated for me yesterday.
