A surfeit of information

My discussion with Elliott last week about not having received a copy of the letter that Dr. Zangari dictated while in his office on October 11 resulted in me receiving two copies of his letter last Thursday; one was my copy of the typescript from the transcriber and one a print out by Jessica, my Patient Coordinator, from some other text.  However, neither of these were particularly illuminating even though both were exactly identical except for format.  Dr. Zangari had said that because my bloodwork and Myeloma markers had remained level for months he would see me in February, but in both letters it was said I should come back in 3 months.  Both ran to 12 pages with the length due to having incorporated a paragraph or two form each preceeding letter written either by him or by Dr. Tricot.  Clarification of my actual condition is the main reason I was impatient to get the letter.

Today's visit was very long as I had been warned that it would be because of the Aredia infusion I was scheduled to have, but it was over-long because of general tardiness in getting preparation for it completed.  Last week I had been told that I needed to consume more protein and drink more liquids that would require my kidneys to "work harder."  Neither subject came up today, but I knew the long-time infusion was required by the high Creatinine found in my blood last week.

I didn't get home until about 3:45 to find Emma's brother, Toby, his wife and daughter and her husband visiting.  They had gathered from Arizona and California for Thanksgiving with a couple of grandaughters and we were privliged with a brief visit.  You will notice that, in contrast with Posts written since I got the new computer, that I now can separate the Post into paragraphs, which inability I had blamed on the new computer along with other misfortunes that seem to be the fault of the computer.  But Kersten stopped by for a few minutes last night and straightened me out.

Emma and I continue to feel good and have recovered from the exertion in removing the very heavy snowfall of Nov. 9-11, essentially all of which has now melted.  We expect to have Thanksgiving dinner here at our home, but will only have four Swinyards to dine with us.  Kersten and her husband will dine with his parents.  We hope and expect all of you to enjoy this early Holiday.

I read your post regarding your treatment and I noticed Dr. Guido Tricot's name. He also treated my brother at UAMS. I also have noticed your links and particularly enjoy your, "God Bless America" link to the President. I invite you, if you have time to read my blog, "Keith's Myeloma blog" I am receiving Zometa infusions and have smoldering myeloma, my family history is not so great ....I enjoy reading your blog and glad to here you are doing well.
