The clinic visit on Monday, the first one since February First, which was the appointment with Dr. Zangari, did not go as I had expected. I have been told that whenever my creatinine level is 1.4 or higher the Aredia infusion that I am to receive will take 4 hours and because I knew that mine would be higher I went with enough reading material to last 4 hours. But Abby, the PA that day, made a phone call to someone and then said that the infusion only needed to last 2 hours. Two vials of blood had been drawn on February 1 prior to the vist with Dr. Zangari; one to determine Creatinine and one to check the Myeloma markers, which had not been done with the blood work on the 28th. This blood draw showed that these markers remain level and the creatinine at 1.49. I will now go the next 3 Mondays and then not go again until April 1.
The reduced amount of Velcade that I received Monday has reduced the neuropathy in my fingers and 20 days off have improved my stamina to the point that I feel good all the time and am looking forward to trying to polay a little golf once our heavy snow cover melts off.
Emma has resumed going to her aquasize class now that our weather has improved and the roads have dried up. She usually goes to a class at 10:00 AM and when she does I don't have to set the alarm. If I set it so she can go to a 9:00 AM class she more often than not will roll over and go back to sleep.
