Another Multiple Myeloma learning session

Emma and I went to a Multiple Myeloma learning session Tuesday evening at the Marriott City Center that I had seen advertised several times in the Tribune.  Registration was at 5:30 with snacks provided as well as validated parking and the session started promptly at 6:00 with three speakers; a myeloma patient, her caregiver, and an oncologist.  The entire program was on the use of Velcade in the treatment of multiple myeloma, which was a disappointment to me because I had hoped to learn something about some new drugs that had recently been approved by the FDA for clinical trials in research on the "dread disease" that have shown promise in possibly effecting a cure within the next 2 or 3 years.

We went to a Meet the Doctors session at the Huntsman Cancer Institute on the 8th at which time I took this photograph os Dr. Gjordje Atanackovic, who is rep;lacing Dr. Zangari and who I have an appointment with On March 11 to be preceded by two scans, a bone marrow biopsy, and blood work on March 3.  I am writing this Post today because I took the computer in to PCLaptops this morning to learn why I have been unable to add pictures to the blog and found that I can add them if I use Google Chrome rather than Internet Explorer, which I have been using.  I promised to take it back for maintenance, which will require a stay of several days, before we leave on Monday for a trip to Laughlin, Nevada, with Roger Sorenson and I may forget what I want to say before I see the computer again .

I took nine pictures of various BMT clinic staff members the Monday after taking this photo of Dr.Djordje
but couldn't add any of them to the blog.  My shoulder continues to give me trouble sleeping and Camille's recommended treatment on Monday has not helped, although I have not tried cold packs and I don't do much work with it.  She also suggested keeping it in a sling, which I have not tried either.
