Four hour Aredia infusion

Grace was my nurse again today and the first thing she said to me was that she was prepared to administer the Aredia today and she confirmed that it would require 4 hours just as it has almost every time that I have received it.  She had it ready to start the infusion shortly after 10:30 and the infusion would have been done by 2:45, and I could have left except the Velcade wasn't ready when the Aredia infusion began so it wasn't administered until the Aredia finished; fortunately it doesn't take much time and I was in the car ready to drive home a few minutes after 3:00.

I had forgotten to remind Grace last Monday that I would like a printout of the blood work so I reminded her this morning and she printed it for me. The format is very different with their new computer program and seems strange at first, but I quite like it because it shows the current range for normal values of all the components that they report instead of showing H for higher than normal and L for lower and a little arrow to show the trend.

I now have the next 2 Mondays off and won't rep[ort to the BMT clinic again until June 9, but I will be going to the Univ. of Utah Orthopaedic Center twice during my "vacation" and once more after returning to the BMT schedule all on Thursdays.
