I left home this morning just before 10:00 for a 10:30 appointment at the BMT clinic where they were going to draw enough blood to compliment the analyses of the 24-hour urine collection I took with me and I didn't get home until after 3:00. Practically all of the elapsed time was spent sitting in a chair waiting for something to happen; my questions elicited no answers finally I was told that they couldn't get the blood lab coordinated with the pharmacy.
I have never understood why it is necessary to wait for reports on the bloodwork before giving me the Velcade in as much as the amount is always the same and I always receive the infusion. I called Emma at 12:27 to ttell her that I was waiting for the Velcade and everything else had been done and I would bring my sandwich, which had just been delicvered, home to share with her, I had planned to stop at the bank on my way home and then at Ream's for fruit, but finally decided to put that off until tomorrow when I go to Dr. Harris' office for a 6-week checkup after the surgery he did on my eyelids. That surgery has not been an unqualified success becauzse I still have tears accumulating behind my right eyelid and then running dow my face. That can be stopped by having Emma put eyedrops in my eyes; usually once a day but somtimes requiring two applications.
