Status update

I have completed the first 4 rounds of chemo therapy, had the junk disconnected today and "rested" the rest of the day.

Appearance July 25 just before Judy cut my hair off. The chemo started July 29 after having a port installed in my chest on the 28th.

I have completed the first round of chemo and the only side effects have been heartburn each night; easily controlled by Tums, Zantac, and Nexium.

We return to the hospital tomorrow for more blood draws followed by a Neulasta shot, which is intended to stimulate the migration of the stem cells from the bone marrow into the circulating blood.

  1. Looks good, grandpa! But you still need to post a photo of you after your hair cut!

  2. That's my Daddy! Still handsome after all these years. Everyone wants to see the buzz cut, too.

we think the "no-hair" and mask routine
    makes you look very mid-western.
