Engraphament accomplished

The icreased white cell count reported on Thursdays visit was followed by a huge increase yesterday morning; it is no up. to 6.3, which is as high as it has been since I started treatment. I remain anemic and they gave me a unit of blood and more antibiotic infusions, but said that my immune system is now up and functioning and need not fear sudden infectons or other treatable ailments.

My energy level remins very low, I don't have enough strength in my fingers to tear open the condiment pouches we pick up along the cafeteria line (have to use my teeth.) It is a great relief to be living in our own home even though the commute time to the hospital has gone way up. It took us almost an hour to get there yestereday morning because of construction along Foothill Blvd. We go again in the morning for more blood work and possible change in medication schedule, and then go again on Wednesday for a visit with Dr, Tricot. I expcet him to give me a schedule for follow up treatment over the next few months.

I actually feel quite good except for the lack of energy and strength, but my legs and hands remain swollen, enough so that I have no footware that I can use with socks and my sandals make my feet sweat and are quite uncomfortable.

  1. This is really great news. You seemed to be in better spirits and health when I stopped by on Saturday. Way to go!
