Four lousy days

haven't felt any ambition since my last post on the14th. When we get back to the room I lie down on the bed to read and promptly fall asleep. I spent weeks hardly sleeping at all so I guess my body is trying to catch up.

There is a lot of swelling in my lower legs and they gave an infusion of albumin yesterday to combat that with no noticeable effect. Tomorrow they have scheduled another platelet infusion and a blood transfusion, which may raise my blood pressure to an acceptable level (it routinely is below 90/50). All things considered these have been my worst days by far, but there is ray of hope my white cell count went from 0.o4 on Wednesday and was up to 0.25 today.

  1. He's home! He's home! No two people could ever be happier to return home than Ron and Emma were today. How nice for them that the University Guest House was booked to capacity and had to take their room for the weekend. The blood count is creeping higher and Ron is on his way to recovery.
