The session at the BMT last Friday was the shortest one I have ever had. They took my vitals and then administered a shot of undetermined medicine and told me to go home and come back in one week. I did meet briefly with Andrea (PA) who told me she would try to set up a meeting with Dr. Tricot soon and in the meantime I was to continue taking the latest medication list that had been given to me that morning by the head of Pharmacy at the clinic. They have left a line in my port that was installed last Tuesday and it probably should be removed before Friday so I called them today to ask about this, but got no response.
Emma was moved from the recovery ward at St. Mark's Hospital last Friday afternoon to the Transitional Care Center where she is in room 5S14A and is undergoing therapy several times a day. They are trying to get her comfortable with all the activities she will be required to do once she is allowed to go home. This afternoon one of the therapists said they may release her on Thursday, but they will have a meeting tomorrow morning with all the therapists to determine who can go home and who needs to stay longer. Karen has changed her airline schedule in order to stay long enough to see Emma safely ensconced at home for which I am very grateful and will gladly pay her exchange fee.
We had made plans to go to the Fall program at the Shakespeare Festival in Cedar City late this week, but of course had to cancel out after Emma's accident. The tickets had been ordered and paid for but they very graciously granted me a gift certificate for the full amount of the tickets to be used any time prior to Oct. 10, 2010.
