Recovery from Swine flu episode nearly complete

The hospitalization of 9 days for Swine flu and pneumonia caused a 2-week hiatus in the maintenance schedule for the mutiple myeloma. I am now on the modified schedule and in week four of cycle 13. I will have the usual battery of tests, which I have near the end of each cycle, on Thursday and then will have an appointment with Dr. Tricot next Monday. He probably will be disappointed by the spike in the myeloma markers that he follows shown by the bloodwork on Feb. 21, which was day 1 of the new cycle 13, but the work to be done on March 17 may show that the spike was temporary and will set his mind at ease.

I feel quite good and am eating so good that I have started putting back on the weight that I lost during my recuperation from the hospital stay. I had gotten down to 153 pounds, which is about 60 pounds less than my highest recorded weight in 1989, and am now up to 160 pounds. But I still am not able to do much in the way of physical work or activity. Every time I do anything such as taking out a trash can I have to rest, which is what I am doing now sitting in front of the computer.
