Winter won't let go

It has been snowing here all morning and we have at least 2 inches wherever there are holes in the canopy. It is slush on the driveways and sidewalks and too heavy to shovel. It is fortunate that the only trees that have leafed out are the choke cherry shrubs and those have rather small leaves or we would have a lot of damaged trees from this heavy snow.

Yesterday's visit to the BMT clinic was slower than any previous visit and the slowness finally persuaded me that I have to change my appointment time. From now on I will be going in at 8:00 AM, which will mean a skimpy or no breakfast, but on 3 out of 4 monthly visits I should get home by 10:00 AM. The Aredia infusion yesterday only took 2 hours instead of the 4 hours that the last 3 or 4 infusions have taken otherwise I would not have gotten home until 5:00 PM or later. The week before because my blood pressure had been 91 over 50 Andrea asked me to take my blood pressure every morning, to stop taking Lisinopril, and bring a record of the blood pressure readings on my next visit, which I more or less did, having forgotten to take it on 2 days. When I showed her the record, which showed a consistent 110 to 117 over 51 to 57, she said that it looked good but I should continue to stay off the Lisinopril. I talked to her about coming in to the clinic on May 13 for the projected May 16 routine and she said that would be fine even though May 16 is scheduled to be Day-One of the next cycle and she has it all set up with the Infusion nurses.
