Low blood pressure and Dr. Tricot's letter
The long awaited copy of Dr. Tricot's letter to the oncologist who somewhat reluctantly referred me to Dr. Tricot arrived in last Thursday's mail, even thought it was dated March 21, the day that I last saw him. The letter was not as informative as I had expected. He recommended that I continue the same medications and the same schedule as before and said that he wanted to see me again after 3 more maintenance cycles, which will be in early June. Most of the letter is a repeat of what he has said in earlier letters and repeats the same inaccuracies that appear in those letters. At the end of each session with him he asks if I have any questions and at that time I can think of none, but I intend to make a list of these inaccuracies and ask him about them the next time that I see him and also ask him about some of the words he uses that I cannot find in our medical directory. My blood pressure this morning was 91 over 51 in contrast to the value in Dr. Tricot's letter of 113 over 53, which is a little lower than what has been my usual blood pressure of about 120 to 125 over 60 to 65. It was so low that Andrea (today's PA) told me to stop taking Lisinopril and to take my own blood pressure each day, keep a record of it and bring the record next week when I return to the clinic. She said that the faint feeling that I have had a few times recently probably is due to the low blood pressure.
