One-day illness

Yesterday I thought that I was having a recurrence of the flu that I had in early February. I had a hard time waking up and when I did get out of bed I was very unsteady on my feet and then had an upset stomach to the point of actually vomiting (hardly anything to discharge). Emma persuaded me to go back to bed, she canceled her own plans to go to the aquasize class and stayed home to monitor my condition. She fixed a scambled egg for my breakfast with a small slice of ham and a toasted English muffin, but I had no appetite and could only eat a portion of the meal. She thought that I felt hot so I rested on the couch for awhile and took my own temperature, which began at 98.7 and then became 99.0 and then 99.4, but never got higher than 99.4. Around noon I went into the kitchen and the movement made my stomach unsettled again and I threw up what little I had eaten earlier. I spent the day on the couch but by mid afternoon I began to feel better and felt good enough to eat some quite liquid chicken-noodle soup she had fixed. I got progressively better as the day wound down and ate some left over "goulash" for dinner and felt good enough to stay up to watch the Portland-Denver basketball game. We switched to the news at 10:00 and then went to bed right after so didn't know until this morning's newspaper that Portland had won the game. Today I feel good and seem to be completely over whatever it was that I had yesterday, except I am weaker than I had been on Wednesday. At the BMT clinic on Monday I will ask the nurses if they can tell me what I might have had yesterday. I also need to ask about coming in on Friday the 13th of May for the treatment I would expect to have on the 16th so that we can have a full week for an anticipated trip to Palm Springs. This might be a problem because the 16th will be Day-one of the next cycle and when we did this for a trip in February we had no problem, but the following Monday then was not a Day-One .
