The Huntsman BMT clinic is staffed and open every day whether the day is a holiday or not, but the Pharmacy closes on every holiday and on weekends so I have to plan ahead on getting prescriptions refilled. Humana is especially prone to thwart those plans as they did last week, and sometimes I have not planned far enough ahead. So I have 2 prescriptions that will run out this week and I don't know if they are so important that I cannot skip a day or two, which I am going to try rather than make another trip to the hospital. The clinic visit Monday was the least stressful that I can recall; traffic was very light, plenty of parking in the garage, and no waiting at the registration desk. Shane, one of the few male nurses, took me into the Infusion room to take my vitals and then placed a line in my port and drew 6 vials of blood. I had to wait for the blood work to be reported before he gave me the Velcade shot and I don't understand why there is a wait for the Velcade. They have always given me the same shot regardless of what the blood work shows and the only difference has been that somtimes they do not call the pharmacy to have the Velcade delivered until after the blood work has been reported.
This post is late because Monday afternoon after getting home from the clinic I went out to do some work on the fence along our south property line and the work so tired me that I didn't feel like doing anything else. Then yesterday I did some more very tiring work on the fence and I am still so tirted that today I cut my morning walk short and only feel strong enough to sit in front of the computer.
