Yesterday, as I waited for the blood work to be reported, Jennifer walked by and asked if I needed any prescriptions to be refilled and I told her no but that I will have several next Monday. She did not remind me that next Monday will be Labor Day and that the pharmacy will be closed as they are for every holiday. I didn't think about the closure until after I got home and realized that those prescriptions that will need refilling cannot be refilled on Monday. Most likely I will have to make an extra trip either this Friday or next Tuesday. I know that I will be out of one of them next Monday evening and will have to get it refilled no later than Tuesday morning.
The visit to the clinic was routine, but it seemed the wait for a report on the blood work was long considering that only 3 vials of blood were drawn. Sometimes when they have drawn 6 or more vials the report comes up in a rather short time; perhaps they take their time in the lab with a small request because the labs thinks such a short order is not critical. The nurse nearly always tells me that my blood work looks good. I will test that tomorrow when I go to an appointment with Dr. Kuo, our internist, and show him the most recent 2 blood reports.
Emma was able to get around very well at the Shakespeare Festival last week. She didn't complain about pain in her ankle until after we had been home for a couple of days. I think that is because here she sits on the reclining couch with her leg elevated and when she arises her leg hurts and it takes a day or so for the changed posture to take effect. The plays at the Festival were all done very well and 4 of them were particularly enjoyable; perhaps better done than in recent years.
