There hasn't been much of significance during visits to the BMT clinic today and last Monday to justify writing a post to the blog. Perhaps the most significant thing is that the road re-surfacing has finally been completed and the traffic delays I have experienced every week since the Pioneer Day holiday may be no more. Much of the delay last week was ridiculus because a fire truck was parked across all 3 lanes of south bound Foothill with no police on hand to direct traffic and only 2 firemen standing in front of the truck. The clinic was quite crowded today and there was no chair for me to use and most of the beds in the backroom where I was stationed were occupied. A lot of chatter kept me from reading as much as I expected to do during the Aredia infusion, which was for 2 hours instead of the 4 as it commonly is, but with the time consumed in hooking it up (twice because of a leak in a line) and general waiting it still took until after 1:00. Fortunately there was no waiting at the pharmacy because I had given my list of refills to Jen and the prescriptions were waiting for me when I got to the pharmacy.
I continue to feel good and have had people tell me that I look good, but the look is deceptive because I have little or no energy and if I do even simple things I have to rest for quite awhile to recover. We leave in the morning to drive to Cedar City to attend the Shakespeare Festival and I hope we get there early enough for a nap before the Matinee performance at 2:00 PM. I know that I will be tired from the drive. Emma could spell me by driving part way but her leg bothers her if it stays in one position for long so she probably won't drive.
