Birthday last week and lengthy visit at BMT clinic

Last Monday the nurse attending to me, Debra, asked what I planned for my birthday; every piece of paper with my name on it that passes through the clinic has my birthdate on it so everybody knows my birthday and how old I am. I told her that I hadn't even thought about doing some thing special, but she urged me to do so saying that birthdays should be special. I thought about it and ended by inviting the couple that we go to plays with to come here for dinner. We had a very nice visit , but it was somewhat subdued because we had been to the Univ. of Utah Dermatology clinic that morning where we learned that Emma's itching was a harbinger of Shingles, which she now is suffering from to the extent that it effects her sleep.

The clinic visit was overlong because I had an Aredia infusion that took 4 hours after waiting for the bloodwork report and wasn't done until after 3:35. A wait at the pharmacy followed and with a stop at the bank then another for some groceries I didn't get home until nearly 5:00.
