Reaction to flu shot ?

Last Friday evening I felt nauseous while watching TV, but finally decided to take my 9 o'clock pill, which I am supposed to take with 8 ounces of water, but as soon as the pill was swallowed I felt more intense nausea and headed for the bathroom where I lost the pill and some of my dinner. I seemed to be ok after that and continued to watch TV through the 10 o'clock news after which I needed to take the liquid Acyclovir, which came up immediately along with the rest of my dinner, which had stayed undigested in my stomach all that time. I then felt quite weak, which feeling persisted throughout almost all of Saturday and most of Sunday with some periods of minor pain in the middle of my back. By this time I had begun to think that I was having a reaction to the flu shot that I had been given on Thursday and when we went to the Swinyards Sunday evening for an early birthday dinner for Tai (the grandson-in-law) I asked Mike (our MD son-in-law) whether this reaction may be due to the flu shot. He agreed that, with my impaired immune system, I very likely was having a reaction to the flu shot. This makes me wonder whether I want to ask for a swine flu shot next Monday.

I think I was completely over the reaction by Monday morning and felt so good in the afternoon that we were happy to join Laura (number 2 granddaughter) and Nancy in going to a matinee showing of Avatar. I haven't decided whether I liked it or not; the special effects are dizzingly spectacular, but the story line is unconvincing.

Emma's recovery from the broken leg is so complete that she now is busy cleaning out closets and deciding what to give away. She says she is going to have her part of the accumulation organized and so disposed of that she will be ready to move whenever I agree that we should look for a smaller house, which may be quite sometime in the future.
