I ran out of time on May 13 following my visit to the BMT clinic to post our plans for a trip to Lake Havasu City because a prescription FAXed to Right Source in Phoenix by Dr. Hull 8 days before had not been received, and a requested copy sent to the Costco pharmacy took hours to receive and was for an over-the-counter Vitamin B3 that they did not stock. Emma had not received a copy of the prescription written by Dr. Hull so was unaware that this vitamin prescription was not what she needed. We proceeded on to St. George for the night and tried to find the, incorrectly prescribed, vitamin at 4 different pharmacies and were told at these that we should look for it at a natural foods store, which was closed.
We got the enhanced Vitamin B3 the next morning and Emma started taking it that evening and continued until Thursday, May 20, when blisters began to appear at the incision sites on her left leg. We drove all the way home on Friday and when we picked up our mail at the Post Office on Saturday we found the prescription from Right Source and found it to be the same prescription given to her by Dr. Horsley back on April 7 but for 500 mg tablets to be taken twice a day instead of the 250 mg tablets in Dr. Horsley's prescription, 2 of which were to be taken twice a day. Dr. Hull's advice had been to continue the medication prescribed by Dr. Horsley and had doubled the size of the pills to reduce any confusion as to count. Emma started taking them Saturday night and it is too soon to determine whether they are doing any good, but she has pain in the leg in the evenings and we are apprehensive.
